Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jax Dark (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sammy Reed (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sammy Reed will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Reed misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Reed will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Reed scores to the head and body with a nice combination!

It looks like Jax Dark has been cut.
Dark shoots in looking for a takedown. Reed tries to sprawl out of it but Dark keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Reed manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Dark looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Reed is fending him off so far but Dark persists. Nope, Reed circles away and we're back to standing.
Reed keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jax Dark. That's going to take a lot out of him.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Dark.
Left hook, right uppercut from Reed.

Reed connects with a nice looking jab.

Dark shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Reed is looking to get full guard. It looks like he might be successful but at the last minute Dark jumps into side control!

Dark tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
Dark tries to move to mount but Reed blocks the move with his legs.

Dark working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Dark wants to control but Reed is keeping him busy.

Dark is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Reed knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Reed really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Dark. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Dark thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Dark has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for Reed!
Reed flailing away with punches but nothing is landing.

Reed is flailing around, obviously not happy about being mounted. Dark locks hold of one of his arms and spins for an armbar. He's got it! Reed is forced to tap!
