The judges for this bout are Marco Blurström, Tarja Halkonen and Matti Vanhoillinen.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Carter throws a hook to the side of Noonan's head but Noonan sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Noonan shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Carter but Carter pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Carter fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Noonan.
Carter looks to score with a jab to the body but Noonan is just out of range.
Noonan circles away from the clinch attempt.
Carter rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Noonan moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Carter misses with a kick to the body

and Noonan counters with a nice double leg into guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Noonan postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Carter is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Noonan, into his guard.
Noonan has Carter pulled in close to control his posture.

Noonan is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Carter is aware though and is defending well.

Noonan is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Carter defends well.
Carter is stalling in the full guard.
Noonan wants to sweep but no luck.
Carter wants to control from the top but Noonan keeps moving.

Carter knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Noonan on the ground.
Noonan wants to sweep here but Carter controlling him for the moment.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Carter got a little sloppy there for a moment and Noonan has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Carter has managed to get both his arms back between Noonan's legs - danger averted.

Carter stays in close to Noonan's body and controls the position.
Noonan is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Carter wants to control from the top but Noonan keeps moving.

Carter has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Noonan to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Carter is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Noonan pulls down on the head and he's put Carter to sleep! This one is all over!
