And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 14 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Wanderlei Silva!
The judges for this bout are Jeff Smith, Roger Salmon and Paul Gruel.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kush darts in looking for a takedown but Silva gets double underhooks and turns Kush into the cage.
Silva has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
Silva is trying to break the clinch but Kush has him pressed against the cage.

Silva pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Kush has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.

Silva has taken the fight to the clinch.

Kush jumps guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Kush is adopting a defensive guard.
Kush is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Silva is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Kush scores with a couple of nice shots.
Kush has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Silva won't allow Kush to pass to mount.
Kush is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Kush frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Kush really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Silva trying desperately to get to his feet.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Kush lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Silva wants to try and get back to his feet.
A nice elbow there by Kush.
Kush is in the full mount, landing strikes.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Silva is squirming around, avoiding Kush's attempts to control the action.
Kush lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Silva is trying to get back to his feet but can't.
Kush with a couple of short strikes.
Kush landing punches.
Kush won't let Silva get back to his feet... He wants to keep the fight where it is for now.
Kush is landing with some decent strikes but Silva is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.

Silva is rocked!

It looks like Wanderlei Silva has been cut.
Kush loads up with a big shot that hurts Silva! He's pulled Kush in close but Kush has postured up and lands more strikes. Can Silva survive? More strikes from Kush and Silva is out! The ref jumps in to save him! Brutal ground and pound!
