Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Lars Holm (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Karevul Ikarus (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Holm comes to the cage accompanied by Warriors Heart. The crowd seem to be enjoying Ikarus's choice of entrance music: Flight of Icarus by Iron Maiden. Lars Holm has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Ikarus tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

Holm tries to lock up and control but Ikarus gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Holm is squirming around, avoiding Ikarus's attempts to control the action.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Ikarus is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but Holm has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here.

It looks like Karevul Ikarus has been cut.
Lars Holm has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Karevul Ikarus.

Ikarus manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Holm on his heels. He'll look to pass Holm's guard now, I'm sure.

Holm has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Ikarus is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Holm.
