Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Santo Mayer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kyle Timmer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kyle Timmer looks lathargic as he enters the arena. Wake up son, you're about to have a fight!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Mayer has managed to clinch.

Mayer ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Mayer no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.

Mayer isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Timmer stacks Mayer on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Timmer!
Timmer wants to stand but Mayer has his arm trapped.
Mayer is trying to improve his position.

Mayer pushes Timmer away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Timmer gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.

Mayer throws Timmer to one side and escapes!
Timmer looks winded!
Mayer dives in for a single leg takedown but Timmer sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.

Mayer wants the takedown. Timmer is fighting it off but Mayer persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Timmer's guard against the cage.

Mayer gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.

Mayer drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.

Mayer wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Timmer, who protects the arm well.
Timmer avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Mayer.
Timmer is not in a great position here, taking some shots.

Mayer decides to stand back up. Mayer steps back and let's Timmer get back to his feet.

Mayer looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Timmer really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Mayer. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Mayer decides to stand and escape the position.

Mayer changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Timmer looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Mayer is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Timmer looks calm but he's in trouble here. Mayer gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Timmer is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Mayer lets go of the hold and Timmer can pop his arm back in it's socket.
