The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Powers moves out of range of the body kick from Slinga.
Slinga blocks a low kick nicely.
Powers circles away from the clinch attempt.
Slinga attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin.
Slinga looks to land a body kick but Powers moved away.
Slinga tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Powers was well out of range. Poor timing from Slinga.
Slinga looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Slinga tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Slinga lands a nice leg kick that just misses Powers's sensitive parts.
Powers throws a nice looking combination but Slinga bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

Slinga fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Powers is out of range.

and Powers cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

Powers manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.
Slinga throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges.

Powers is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Slinga is keeping busy.
Powers lands on the inside with an uppercut.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Slinga creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.

Slinga's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Slinga throws a hook but Powers blocks it.
