Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Venno Akker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Roman Empire (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Akker's entrance music is Static-X - Gimme Gimme Shock Treatment. A fine choice. Empire has chosen Protectors of the Earth as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A bone on bone clash there as Empire blocks the leg kick.
Empire looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Akker is fending him off so far but Empire persists. Nope, Akker circles away and we're back to standing.
Empire throws a right and a left that both miss.
Akker lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Akker.
Akker throws a sloppy head kick and Empire moves out of range easily.

Empire chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Akker can pounce on him.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Akker had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Empire is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Akker Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Empire's back instead.
