Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Scoobie Doobie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lysa Pala (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Pala has chosen Kiara - Bonobo as his entrance music. There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, Ian Loll and Gregory Folan.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Doobie closes this distance looking for a takedown but Pala circles away.
Pala throws a left and a right that both miss
and Doobie counters with a two punch combo.
Doobie tries to close the distance and clinch up but Pala swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Pala throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Doobie shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Pala defends it nicely.
Pala slips a jab and a cross from Doobie.
Pala swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Doobie takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Doobie tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Pala paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Pala shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Pala was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Pala is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position.
Doobie knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Pala on the ground.

Pala postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.

Doobie tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Pala wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Pala has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Doobie is trying to work for a sweep but Pala has mounted him!

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Pala is throwing punches to the body, looking to soften Doobie up.

Pala has the hooks sunk in and you can see the will to fight slowly draining out of Doobie's body.
Watch the back of the head! Comes the shout from the referee towards Pala.

Pala has the rear naked choke here! This is very bad for Doobie! Can he survive? No! He's out! Pala gets to his feet and celebrates with his cornermen. He looks absolutely delighted. In the post fight interviews he takes time to thank his parents and everyone who has believed in him from the start. How sweet.
