The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A momentary lapse in concentration from Manole enables Piekny to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Manole manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Manole looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Piekny is looking to work some ground and pound but Manole has wrist control.
Piekny working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Manole's head.

Piekny lands a big elbow from half guard. That looks like it's hurt Manole quite badly. Manole pulls Piekny in close trying to recover. Piekny postures up and lands two really hard shots that put Manole on queer street! The ref takes a look and decides to call an end to the fight! Possibly an early stoppage but Manole doesn't seem to be complaining too much.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:48 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Marin Piekny!
