Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Zeki Ata (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jackson Thompson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jackson Thompson is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Jackson Thompson!
The judges for this bout are Summer Carpenter, Eliza Hachem and Bruno Hogan.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Thompson drives through and clinches with Ata against the cage.
Thompson is trying to break the clinch but Ata has him pressed against the cage.
Ata tries to throw a body punch but Thompson avoids it by throwing Ata back against the cage.
Ata is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath.
Ata wants to break free but Thompson has control.
Ata is trying to break the clinch but Thompson has him pressed against the cage.
Ata is trying to stall.
Ata tries to work over Thompson's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
Ata tries a body shot but Thompson blocks it.
Thompson tries to pull guard but Ata holds him up against the cage and eventually Thompson drops back down to his feet.

Thompson breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Ata stalks Thompson and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Thompson's face. Thompson staggers backwards, shaken.

It looks like Jackson Thompson has been cut.
Thompson doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Ata connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Ata connects with a looping right hand.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Thompson tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Ata swivels and escapes.
Nice shot lands for Ata.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Ata misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Thompson.
Zeki Ata seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Ata throws a shot from downtown. Thompson moves away and avoids it.
Ata fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Thompson manages to avoid it.
Nice defenses there by Thompson.
A jab from Thompson finds it's way through Ata's defenses.
Ata lands with a nice body punch.
Thompson doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Thompson looks gassed!

Ata's corner calls for a 1,2 combination and Ata duly obliges.
Ata comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.

Ata feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for leaving it all in the cage!
Ata pushes down on Thompson's leg and manages to get into half guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Ata has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Thompson defend it? Ata steps over the head and cranks it - Thompson is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Ata!
