The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Magamedov tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Cage was well out of range. Poor timing from Magamedov.
Magamedov circles away from the clinch attempt.
Magamedov swats away the attempt to clinch by Cage.
Cage misses with a takedown attempt

and Magamedov counters with a nice double leg into guard.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.

Magamedov stands up from guard. Let's bang!
Cage tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Magamedov manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Some wild striking there from Cage.
Cage tries to clinch up but Magamedov circles away and keeps his distance.
Magamedov misses with a takedown attempt - Cage sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Magamedov throws a jab but it's blocked by Cage.

Cage closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Magamedov's guard.

Magamedov is scooting his butt against the cage and has managed to get back to his feet. Cage presses him back against the cage, presumably looking to take the fight back to the mat.
Magamedov keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Cage's efforts to push away.
Cage tries to pull guard but Magamedov won't allow it.

Magamedov has Cage pulled in close to control his posture.
Magamedov wants to sweep but no luck.

Magamedov working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Cage doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Magamedov is tightening it up a little... Cage has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Cage reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Cage taps out! Nice BJJ there by Magamedov!
