Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Charlie Luciano (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lucentus Darklance (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Charlie Luciano!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Lucentus Darklance!
The judges for this bout are Ben Zyskovitsi, Johanna Lukiainen and Roosa Järviläinen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Luciano lands a body shot.
Darklance with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Luciano to score with a decent uppercut.
We've been hearing reports that Luciano has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.
Luciano lets loose with a powerful body kick. Darklance will feel that in the morning.

Luciano moves into range and throws a big uppercut. OH! Darklance goes down! Can Luciano finish him!?


Darklance is rocked!


It looks like Lucentus Darklance has been cut.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Luciano is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Darklance is still in real trouble! Can Luciano finish him?
Luciano slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.

Luciano has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
Luciano has knee on belly and moves into mount.

Darklance seems to have recovered his senses.
Darklance wants to control but Luciano is having none of it.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Darklance really trying hard to get back to half guard here.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Luciano blocks Darklance's feeble attempts to strike from the bottom.

Darklance wants to hold on but Luciano pushes him away.
Luciano takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Luciano is looking to work his way around to Darklance's back. He needs to be careful though, as he's in danger of losing this dominant position.
Luciano content just to control the position here.
Darklance is in all sorts of trouble here.
Luciano tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

Luciano can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Darklance is looking to escape.

We're going to have a standup here because Charlie Luciano wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.
Luciano misses with a low kick.
A kick lands to the mid section there for Luciano.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Darklance checks a leg kick.
Darklance avoids the head kick by Luciano.
Luciano changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Darklance tries to avoid it but Luciano manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Darklance to the ground. Darklance escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Luciano shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Darklance is trying to defend but Luciano finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Darklance wants to get back to his feet.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Darklance is trying to control but can't.
Luciano is keen to just control but Darklance is a slippery customer.

Luciano is trying to work for a kimura but Darklance is defending well.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Luciano is trying to control. Darklance wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Luciano is controlling the pace.
Darklance trying to hold on to Luciano's head to control him but Luciano postures up.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Darklance fails with a takedown attempt.
Luciano throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Luciano throws a right and a left that Darklance avoids nicely.
Darklance throws a wild hook but Luciano just manages to duck under it and - ooooh! Darklance gets nailed by a brutal uppercut which crumples him back against the cage! The referee jumps in - Luciano raises his hands in celebration and walks away!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:12 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Charlie Luciano!
During a confident post fight interview, Charlie Luciano thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
