Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ben Davies (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Julius Karneres (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Davies's entrance music is Slow Chemical. A fine choice. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Ben Davies!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Julius Karneres!
The judges for this bout are Igor Prikhodko, Valeri Chadov and Ivan Kurochkin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Davies shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Karneres pinned against the cage. Karneres gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Donk. Karneres catches Davies right on the button with a cross.

Oh, that's a big right hand from Karneres and Davies goes tumbling to the canvas! Karneres follows him to the ground and looks to finish from half guard.


Davies is rocked!


It looks like Ben Davies has been cut.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Karneres wants to stand but Davies has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now.
Oh Davies is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Davies tries to roll over but Karneres keeps him under control.
Karneres seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.
Davies seems to have got his legs back now.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Davies is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Davies works his way to full guard. Good work.
Karneres wants to get up but he can't break Davies's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
Davies looking to sweep here. No luck so far.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Davies is trying to control the position from the bottom.

Davies is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Karneres won't allow Davies to sweep him here.
Davies is trying to control the position but Karneres postures up.
Karneres wants to stand but Davies has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
Davies is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Davies looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Davies looking for a guillotine here but Karneres defends easily.
Davies is breathing heavily.

Davies has his foot on Karneres's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Karneres works his way back into a safe position though.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Karneres wanted to stand there but Davies had control of the position.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Karneres got a little sloppy there for a moment and Davies has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Karneres has managed to get both his arms back between Davies's legs - danger averted.
Karneres wants to stand but Davies is controlling his posture from full guard.
Karneres must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Davies is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Karneres defends well.
Karneres is looking to stand up but Davies won't let him.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Karneres postures up.

Karneres gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Karneres looks to land a combination but Davies avoids it well.
Davies shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Karneres pinned against the cage. Karneres gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Karneres scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Julius Karneres will probably get the nod.
The cut man is working on Ben Davies's cut.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.



Davies tries to keep at a distance but Karneres has taken the fight into the clinch.

Karneres pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Davies drops his hands for a split second and Karneres immediately capitalizes on the opportunity by smashing a powerful hook into Davies face, sending his mouthguard sailing through the air, much to the delight of the crowd. Karneres follows up with a right hand that knocks Davies into next week. He's out cold and this fight is over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:16 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Julius Karneres!
Ben Davies was interviewed post fight and said 'I will come back from this loss even better and come back with more determination.'.
