The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Brown uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Rubio.
Rubio shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.

Rubio closes the distance and pushes Brown back into the cage.
Brown drops down looking for an ankle pick but Rubio pulls his leg out and moves away.
Rubio throws a series of punches but Brown moves out of range.
Brown shoots in but Rubio avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Nice shot lands for Brown.
Rubio throws a right hand that Brown ducks under and follows up with a left that Brown also avoids with ease.
Rubio throws a right and a left that Brown avoids nicely.
A kick lands to the mid section there for Rubio.
Brown shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Danny Brown. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Rubio looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Rubio lands a left and a right that send Brown crashing to the mat, dazed. Rubio thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

It looks like Danny Brown has been cut.
Rubio fakes the leg kick and cracks Brown in the body.
Oh Brown is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
