Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Robert Beckett (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nero Padilla (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Nero Padilla will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 20 - 8 - 0, fighting out of New York, Robert Beckett!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 11 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Nero Padilla!
The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Tiny Johnson and Cecil Peabody.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A good leg kick by Padilla.
Padilla has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight.

Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Padilla, as that shot connected.
Beckett on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
We've been told by Beckett's head coaches at THC playhouse that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.

Padilla thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Beckett if he has to take too many more of those.

Padilla ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.

The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Padilla closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Beckett to the mat! Beckett manages to get full guard.

We're going to have a standup here because Robert Beckett wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.
Beckett avoids the head kick by Padilla.
Padilla connects with a good right hand that stumbles Beckett. Beckett circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Padilla wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Padilla uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Padilla lands a nice hook to Beckett's body. Beckett takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Padilla throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.

Padilla is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Beckett had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


Beckett tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Padilla fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Beckett.
Padilla lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Beckett ducks right into an uppercut from Padilla.

Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Beckett lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Padilla has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Padilla and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Our winner, Nero Padilla, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
