Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Vitor Tavares (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jon Holmes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Tavares might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Back in Black . Holmes is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: SBB - Memento z banalnym tryptykiem. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The judges for this bout are Paul Aken, Paulsen Ambrosius and Saam Ante.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Holmes wants to clinch up but Tavares keeps it at a distance.
Holmes shoots in for a takedown and gets it.

Tavares is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Holmes's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Holmes's back!

Holmes shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Tavares's guard.

Holmes drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Tavares dives on top into guard.
Holmes seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.

Holmes shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Tavares pinned against the cage. Tavares gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Holmes rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Tavares moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Holmes takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Tavares defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Holmes.
Vitor Tavares has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jon Holmes.
Holmes closes this distance looking for a takedown but Tavares circles away.

Tavares scores with a hook to the body. Holmes takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.

Holmes changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Tavares tries to avoid it but Holmes manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Tavares to the ground. Tavares escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Tavares lands a jab to the nose.
Holmes's coach down at Soul Supremacy Fight Club - ELITE TRAINERS----$580 was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Holmes's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
Tavares closes the distance and lands a vicious right hand that drops Holmes! Tavares dives in looking to finish! Holmes is still trying to defend himself but he's taking too many shots and the referee has no choice but to stop the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:19 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Vitor Tavares!
Vitor Tavares gave a mention to GREEN!160 in his post fight interview. That will please them (and hopefully generate some sales).
Jon Holmes spoke after the fight, saying 'You know, shit happens...'.
