The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Longhold is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Haggard can't fight it off and eventually Longhold manages to take the fight to the floor. Haggard looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Longhold lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.

Haggard is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Longhold postures up and throws a couple of big shots that have Haggard in real trouble here! The ref calls for Haggard to improve his position which he doesn't do, so the referee has no choice but to end the fight due to the strikes!

After the fight, Steve Longhold was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
