Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Marcelo De La Natal!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Cokorda Raka!
The judges for this bout are Matheus Silva, Alexandre Firmino and Paulo Santos.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Raka moves into the clinch.
Raka is pressed up against the cage. De La Natal has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Raka down to the mat. Raka avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Raka shoots in for a takedown but De La Natal shows good takedown defense.
A momentary lapse in concentration from Raka enables De La Natal to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Raka manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
De La Natal passes Raka's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Raka won't allow De La Natal to pass to mount.
De La Natal moves nicely into side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
De La Natal passes to full mount! That's big trouble for Raka!
De La Natal has hold of an arm here, looking to extend it. He's committed to the armbar attempt here! Will he get it?! Yes! Raka is forced to tap!
