Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Edson Santos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ken Jacobs (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ken Jacobs told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jacobs tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Santos counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Santos lands with a nice body punch.
A looping hook to the body misses from Jacobs. Santos does a little dance to reset his feet.
Jacobs throws a head kick that misses.
Sloppy strikes from Santos. Those never looked like landing.
Santos lands a nice shot to the body.
Santos misses with a few strikes there.

Santos throws a left and a right that both miss

and Jacobs counters by moving into the clinch.
Jacobs jumps guard but Santos turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.
Santos wants to break the clinch but can't.
Jacobs can't get the takedown.
Santos is trying to break free.

Santos breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Jacobs tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Santos counters with a left to the body.
Santos lands with a right hand.
Santos showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Jacobs.
Jacobs looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
Jacobs wants to clinch
and Santos counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Jacobs takes a jab right on the kisser.
Santos throws a body punch but Jacobs moves out of range.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Jacobs walks into a stiff left hand from Santos.
Jacobs has a takedown stuffed.
Edson Santos has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ken Jacobs.

Jacobs avoids a punch combination nicely.
Jacobs is looking to clinch but Santos is avoiding it.
Santos digs a good hook to Jacobs's body.
Santos lands a glancing blow to the side of Jacobs's head.
Jacobs shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Santos as he avoids it easily.
Jacobs looks winded!
Santos works Jacobs's body with a nice hook.
Santos rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Jacobs moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Santos scores with a shot to the body.
Jacobs throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Santos's waist but Santos gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Jacobs off to one side.
Santos lands with a right and another and another! Jacobs is in big trouble! Santos lands again and this time it's lights out for Jacobs! A quality knockout there for Santos.
