Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Travis Green (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jim Beam (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Travis Green!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jim Beam!
The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, Trevor Gratis and Ian Loll.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Green shoots in and gets a takedown into Beam's guard.

Green drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Green jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Beam pushes Green off and gets back to his feet.

Green decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Green prevents Beam from improving his position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Green is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Beam doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Green.

Green is working for a kimura but Beam is defending it quite comfortably.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Green tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Green has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.



Beam shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Green napping and manages to drive through into side control!

Travis Green overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Beam seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.

Green is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Beam pulls his head out easily.

Beam wants to lay and pray for a moment but Green keeps working.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Beam is nestled in close to Green, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Beam connects with a nice short shot to Green's temple.

Beam working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
