Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Fedor Obsut (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Waldemir Warzecha (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 27 - 16 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Fedor Obsut!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Waldemir Warzecha!
The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, Trevor Gratis and Robert Douchet.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Obsut lands with an uppercut that bounces Warzecha off the cage and back into range.
Obsut will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Obsut misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Warzecha.
Warzecha checks the leg kick nicely there.
Warzecha blocks a jab.
Warzecha misses with a few strikes there.
Warzecha takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
Warzecha has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.

Warzecha takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Warzecha throws a sloppy head kick and Obsut moves out of range easily.
The fight stays on the outside here - Warzecha looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Obsut misses the shot to the body.
Warzecha lands with a thumping leg kick.
Obsut displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Warzecha throws out the jab.
Warzecha throws a sloppy head kick and Obsut moves out of range easily.
Obsut shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Warzecha as he avoids it easily.

Warzecha manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!

Warzecha looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Obsut sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.
Warzecha wants to control but Obsut is keeping him busy.
Warzecha slips a nice elbow through Obsut's hands, connecting with Obsut's forehead.

Warzecha takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Obsut makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Obsut.

Obsut has his foot on Warzecha's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Warzecha works his way back into a safe position though.
Warzecha postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.

Warzecha is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Obsut knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Warzecha has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Obsut is looking to slip a leg under and get half guard but Warzecha is one step ahead and moves to full mount!

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Warzecha is keen to just control but Obsut is a slippery customer.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Obsut manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Warzecha manages to get himself to full guard.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Well Obsut has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
