Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Robert Twigg and George Francis.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Melone gets a double leg takedown into Jabbar's guard.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Melone postures up in Jabbar's guard and throws a big left but Jabbar blocks it.
Melone is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Melone decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.

and Jabbar cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

Melone closes the distance and clinches up with Jabbar, looking for a takedown. Melone pushes Jabbar against the cage but Jabbar circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Melone closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Jabbar did well to prevent Melone getting side control.

Melone is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Jabbar sees it coming and defends easily.

Jabbar is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Melone gets control of Jabbar's arms and successfully pulls guard. Melone will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.

Jabbar is looking to stand up but Melone won't let him.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Melone is scooting his butt against the cage and has managed to get back to his feet. Jabbar presses him back against the cage, presumably looking to take the fight back to the mat.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Jabbar swings wildly with an uppercut but Melone uses good head movement to avoid it.

Melone will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Jabbar up against the cage.

Melone manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.

It looks like Kareem Jabbar has been cut.
Melone with shots to the head and body - Jabbar looks very uncomfortable down there.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Melone get's back to his feet.
Melone throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Jabbar's waist but Jabbar gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Melone off to one side.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!

Jabbar really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Melone. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
