Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Jose Fernandez!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Takada Kumushi!
The judges for this bout are Sosuke Kotani, Shigeki Sano and Ren Mimura.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Kumushi is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Fernandez's half guard.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Kumushi takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Fernandez has hold of Kumushi's hands but Kumushi slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.

The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Kumushi lands a nice short elbow.
Kumushi lands with a punch from half guard.
Fernandez is trying to stand.
Kumushi scoring with strikes to the body and head.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Kumushi is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.
Kumushi working over Fernandez with some ground and pound. Fernandez looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.
Fernandez is looking to escape.

Fernandez is rocked!
Kumushi works his way into side control.
Oh Fernandez is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Fernandez is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Kumushi asserts his dominance and retains side control.
Kumushi lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Fernandez down.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Kumushi in side control lands a decent elbow.
Fernandez knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Kumushi on the ground.
A big shot lands for Kumushi! That's hurt Fernandez! Will he recover? Kumushi fires away with more strikes and the referee has to step in to stop the fight!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:24 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Takada Kumushi!
Takada Kumushi seemed lost for words in his post fight interview but he remembered to thank his fans and directed everyone to his website.
