Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Byron Chandler (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ben Kater (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Chandler stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Kater.

Kater decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.

Kater throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Chandler tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Kater is in Chandler's guard.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Chandler wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.

Kater is scooting his butt against the cage and has managed to get back to his feet. Chandler presses him back against the cage, presumably looking to take the fight back to the mat.

Well Kater has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
