The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Zoldyck stuffs the takedown attempt from Taiga. Taiga gets slowly back to his feet.

Taiga closes the distance and clinches.
Taiga tries to work over Zoldyck's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.

The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.

Taiga leaves Zoldyck with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Zoldyck has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Taiga avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.

Zoldyck bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Taiga's guard.

Taiga had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Zoldyck defends it easily.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Taiga can do anything to dispel that myth.
