Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Gunnar Nelson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Danny Zamora (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Zamora has chosen Nirvana - Lake of Fire as his entrance music. The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Zamora goes for a double leg but Nelson avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Nelson continues to drive forward.

Nelson seems to have improved his submission grappling technique since last time we saw him. Let's see if he can pull off a submission.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

and Zamora cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

Zamora throwing strikes but Nelson manages to buck up and roll into a nice reversal - now he's on top in side control!

Nelson decides to stand back up. Nelson steps back and let's Zamora get back to his feet.

Zamora drops back, looking for a kneebar! Nelson looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Nelson looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Nelson!
Nelson is looking to take a break and control but Zamora is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
You can see the frustration on Zamora's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Zamora is not content to let Nelson control the position.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
