Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Silva shoots in and bounces Cowen off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Silva works a leg free and moves into half guard.

Silva's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

Silva dives in and grabs Cowen's left leg, looking for a takedown. Cowen pushes down on Silva's head and hops out.
Cowen slaps away a takedown attempt from Silva, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Cowen scores with a kick to the body.
Silva chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Cowen can pounce on him.

Silva shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Cowen as he jumps to the side.

Cowen lands a big head kick that sends Silva tumbling to the mat! Cowen takes a step backwards and waves Silva back to his feet - he wants the finish!

and Cowen makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.
Oh Silva is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Cowen looks for a left high kick but can't connect. Cowen backs up to catch a breather... no he lunges forward with a huge flying knee that smacks Silva's temple! It sends Silva violently to the canvas! The crowd goes nuts as Cowen celebrates and the doctors try to help Silva!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:44 of round 3, we have a winner by way of KO (Flying Knee). Jared Cowen!
In his post fight interview, Jared Cowen started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
