The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Brady gets a clinch.
Sonnen is trying to force a seperation but Brady has the dominant position.
Sonnen wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Sonnen wants to break free but Brady has control.

Brady manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Brady being controlled here, momentarily.
Brady tries to land a sweep but no joy.

Sonnen stands up and waves to Brady to follow him.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Sonnen throws a left and a right that both miss
and Brady counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Sonnen lands with a big left! Brady is wobbled badly! Sonnen comes in with a flurry of punches and drops Brady to the floor. The ref jumps in to save him from unneccessary punishment.
