Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jonas Hansson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dougie Poynter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hansson is coming into this fight with a significant injury, which will no doubt have an effect on his cardio. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Tiny Johnson and Alan Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Poynter throws a series of punches but Hansson avoids them all with ease.
Poynter should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
Hansson is breathing heavily.
Poynter forces Hansson back against the cage and clinches.
Hansson is fighting off a takedown attempt but Poynter is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Hansson to the mat. Hansson regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.
Poynter drops back looking for a leg! Hansson is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Hansson manages to kick Poynter off! Poynter jumps back into Hansson's guard.

Poynter is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Hansson is surviving well by controlling Poynter's body position as best he can.

Poynter had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Hansson is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Poynter Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Hansson's back instead.

Poynter is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but Hansson has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here.
Hansson breaks Poynter's hooks off and manages to turn into his guard.

Poynter shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.

Poynter really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Hansson. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Poynter has control of Hansson's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Hansson regains control of the situation pretty easily.

I really don't envy Hansson right now.

Hansson stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Poynter swivels though and keeps the full guard.

so Poynter counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Poynter stands up over Hansson, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Hansson is on top in guard.

Hansson will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Dougie Poynter comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Poynter has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
