The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McKallister moves into range and connects with a jab.
Ryan misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Ryan shoots in for a takedown but McKallister shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
McKallister looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Ryan tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. McKallister manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Jack Ryan seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

McKallister feints and then cracks Ryan's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Ryan down.
McKallister stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and McKallister wants it to stay on the feet.

McKallister lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
