The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Helmers closes this distance looking for a takedown but Viale circles away.

Helmers darts in looking for a takedown but Viale gets double underhooks and turns Helmers into the ropes.
Viale looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
Viale prevents a takedown attempt there.
Mauro Viale has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Basil Helmers.
With the fighters clinched against the ropes, Viale creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.

Helmers gets caught by a big overhand right and goes down! Viale gets on top of him and starts throwing some serious punches until the ref intervenes and stops the fight!
