Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Tiny Johnson and Frank Dennis.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Takkala stuffs the takedown.

Takkala throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Essss was covering up waiting for the punch and Takkala finishes the takedown easily into guard.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Takkala lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.

Takkala throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Essss works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Essss knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Takkala on the ground.
Takkala is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.

Takkala slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Essss is looking for a sweep.
Takkala has been taking part in the yoga sessions down at Bi-polar Asylum. Presumably he's going to look for a slick submission... Or maybe he's looking to avoid one.

Essss gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there!
Takkala lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.
Takkala postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Essss looks a forlorn figure.

Takkala quickly switches position and commits to an armbar! It's a big risk for Takkala but it's paid off an Essss is forced to tap! Nice work by Takkala.
