PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Kane Arroyo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mauro Garza (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Garza has chosen Donde estan perros as his entrance music. Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the fighters buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Garza takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Arroyo stuffs the takedown.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Arroyo throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Nice takedown defense from Arroyo. No joy for Garza on that attempt.

Garza slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Arroyo is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Garza asserts his dominance and retains side control.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Arroyo tries to wriggle free to get back to his feet but he's given up his back! Oops.

Garza shoots for a double leg takedown but Arroyo sprawls well. He's pushed Garza's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Garza feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Garza shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Arroyo as he jumps to the side.

Arroyo misses with a double jab.
Arroyo tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Arroyo throws a combination. Garza tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
Arroyo lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
