Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jason Cheely (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Daniel Kim (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Daniel Kim has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Jason Cheely's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Jason Cheely!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Daniel Kim!
The judges for this bout are Arvi Lind, Johanna Lukiainen and Tarja Halkonen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cheely swinging wildly here.
Kim shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Cheely.
Cheely misses with a head kick.
Kim does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Kim cracks Cheely with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
Kim cracks a nice hook into Cheely's ribs.
Cheely just misses with a punch to the body.
Kim shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Cheely eats them both and turns towards Kim to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
Cheely takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Kim jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Cheely throws the left hand but Kim avoids the punch easily.
Kim looks to land a combination but Cheely avoids it well.
Sloppy strikes from Cheely. Those never looked like landing.
Cheely takes one on the button.
Cheely on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Good work by Cheely as he checks the leg kick.

Kim bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Kim trying to control the action but Cheely is working from the bottom.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Cheely can't do much from the bottom here.
Cheely is not in a great position here, taking some shots.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Kim wants to lay and pray for a moment but Cheely keeps working.
Cheely manages to work his way to half guard, despite Kim's best efforts.

Kim is looking for a kimura but Cheely is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Kim to get the leverage.
Kim sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Cheely defending well though.
Kim keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action.
Kim wants to lay and pray for a moment but Cheely keeps working.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Cheely moves into full guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Cheely preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
Kim trying to control but Cheely is working from the bottom.
Kim throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Cheely works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

Cheely had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Kim defends it easily.
Kim not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Kim got a little sloppy there for a moment and Cheely has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Kim has managed to get both his arms back between Cheely's legs - danger averted.
Kim looking to sit in guard and control but Cheely gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Cheely trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Kim looking to control.
Cheely won't allow Kim to sweep him here.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Daniel Kim dominated that round.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!


Kim connects with a looping right hand.
Cheely misses with a hook
and Kim counters with a left and a right that stings Cheely.


It looks like Jason Cheely has been cut.
Kim keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Cheely throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Kim connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Cheely throws a series of punches but Kim moves out of range.
Jason Cheely is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Kim uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Cheely.
Kim scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Nice uppercut lands for Kim. That snapped Cheely's head back.
Cheely throws a series of punches but Kim avoids them all with ease.
Cheely takes one on the button.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Nice cross by Kim.


Cheely is rocked!
Cheely fails with the takedown.
Cheely scores with a jab to the jaw.
Kim lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Kim.
Oh Cheely is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Kim throws a shot from downtown. Cheely moves away and avoids it.
Kim cracks Cheely with a nasty uppercut that draws ooohs from the crowd and sends Cheely tumbling backwards onto the mat. He tries to recover but Kim pounces and lands a hail of unanswered strikes that forces the referee to step in to end the fight! Cheely is not happy but he gave the referee no choice!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:56 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Daniel Kim!
Our winner, Daniel Kim, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
