Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between joe JO (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ryan prevost (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ryan prevost has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, joe JO!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Ryan prevost!
The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Gregory Folan and Robert Douchet.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

prevost closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - prevost lands in his opponent's guard.
prevost postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.

prevost drops back, looking for a kneebar! JO looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. JO looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from JO!

prevost uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from JO.

prevost bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
JO is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, prevost asserts his dominance and retains side control.

prevost is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but JO is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
JO might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
prevost throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage.
prevost tries to score with some ground and pound. JO controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.

Ryan prevost showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!


JO lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.

JO wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by prevost.

prevost is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. JO can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

JO is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
prevost unloads with some shots from mount but JO bucks and avoids them well.
joe JO has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

There's a bit of a scramble here and now prevost is on top in guard.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
prevost shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts JO as he jumps to the side.
JO throws a right and a left that both miss.

And that's the end of the fight!
Ryan prevost comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got prevost winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
