Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Emunn Samvesu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tero Siren (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters really staring each other down here, as Tero Siren enters the cage!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Emunn Samvesu!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Tero Siren!
The judges for this bout are Josh West, Chris Saunders and Paul Gruel.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Samvesu shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Siren sprawls well. Siren wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Samvesu gets slowly back to his feet.
Siren throws a right and a left that both miss.
Samvesu has been working on his balance at The Cave Fighting Team, so perhaps that has help him stuff some of the takedown attempts by Siren.
Siren lands a lovely overhand right.
Siren has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.

Siren throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Samvesu.

Samvesu is not content to let Siren control the position.
Siren might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Samvesu haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

Samvesu knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Siren on the ground.

Siren is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Samvesu has escaped the position, nice work there.

You can see the frustration on Samvesu's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Samvesu tries to bench press Siren off him but Siren keeps the position.
Samvesu tries to slip a leg under to move to half guard but Siren presses down on the leg and jumps into full mount!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Siren is looking to stand but Siren has his arms wrapped tightly around him, looking to prevent the damage.
Siren prevents Samvesu from getting the reversal.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Siren throws a right hand that Samvesu ducks under and follows up with a left that Samvesu also avoids with ease.

Samvesu gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
Siren is pressed up against the cage. Samvesu has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Siren down to the mat. Siren avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Samvesu walks into a stiff left hand from Siren.
Siren throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Samvesu moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Siren will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Siren throws a right and a left that Samvesu avoids nicely.
Siren swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

Samvesu closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Siren wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Samvesu tries to score a body lock takedown but Siren shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
Samvesu blocks a body shot from Siren.
Samvesu drops down looking for an ankle pick but Siren pulls his leg out and moves away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Emunn Samvesu. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Samvesu has closed the distance and engaged Siren in a clinch.

Siren lands a right hand that snaps the head of Samvesu backwards.
Siren is pressed up against the cage. Samvesu has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Siren down to the mat. Siren avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Siren looks to land a combination. Samvesu sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
Siren throws a right and a left that both miss.
Siren lands with a nice combination. Samvesu backs away looking to recover.

Samvesu looking to score a takedown here. Siren is defending well but Samvesu drives through and ends up in Siren's guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Samvesu is sitting in close to Siren's body. Siren has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Samvesu is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Samvesu is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Siren.
