The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lloyd gets cracked there but stands up to it.

It looks like Huey Lloyd has been cut.
Dracula looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Lloyd is fending him off so far but Dracula persists. Nope, Lloyd circles away and we're back to standing.

Dracula closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Lloyd is looking to reverse the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Lloyd manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.

Dracula is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Lloyd could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Lloyd moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Dracula postures up and lands a big shot to Lloyd's brow.

Dracula closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Lloyd to the mat! Lloyd manages to get full guard.

Lloyd is looking to regain half guard here but Dracula keeps moving and retains side control.

Lloyd is not content to let Dracula control the position.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Lloyd takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Dracula decides to take the fight back to the feet.
Dracula closes this distance looking for a takedown but Lloyd circles away.
Dracula misses with a leg kick.
Dracula shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.
Dracula throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Dracula closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Lloyd is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Dracula is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Lloyd defends it well.

Dracula wants to lay and pray for a moment but Lloyd keeps working.

Dracula is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Vladimir Dracula was stalling too much, according to the referee.
Dracula will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Huey Lloyd has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Vladimir Dracula.

Dracula shoots in for a takedown and gets it.

Lloyd tries to land a sweep but no joy.

Dracula seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Dracula circles and sees the opportunity to plant his feet and throw a really nice straight left hand that drops Lloyd to the canvas! Lloyd doesn't know where he is but he's trying to survive - Dracula keeps piling on the pressure and forces the referee to step in! This one is aaaaaall over!
