Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Scott Campbell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jericho Fernandez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fernandez has chosen Motley Crue - Kickstart My Heart as his entrance music. I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Jericho Fernandez was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.

The judges for this bout are Richard Clark, James Glass and Steven Brown.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Campbell swats away the attempt to clinch by Fernandez.

Campbell closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Fernandez to the mat! Fernandez manages to get full guard.

Campbell is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Fernandez is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Fernandez has escaped and now he's on top!

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Campbell in particular looking to stall.

Campbell is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Fernandez defends it well.
Fernandez scrambles, trying to get to his feet, but Campbell manages to mount him!

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Campbell has hold of Fernandez's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Fernandez manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

Campbell seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Fernandez for as long as he can get away with.

Campbell cracks Fernandez with a big shot to body and one to the head - really punishing Fernandez from the back mount here, looking to soften him up.

Fernandez tries to close the distance and clinch up but Campbell swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Campbell cracks Fernandez with a big right hand but Fernandez just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Campbell bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

A solid leg kick lands there for Campbell.
No luck for Campbell with that takedown attempt.
