The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shepherd fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Shepherd has a takedown stuffed.
Shepherd displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from GuardaChuva.
Shepherd uses good head movement to avoid the hook from GuardaChuva.
A swing and a miss from GuardaChuva.
GuardaChuva has a takedown stuffed.
GuardaChuva dives in and grabs Shepherd's left leg, looking for a takedown. Shepherd pushes down on GuardaChuva's head and hops out.

GuardaChuva shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Shepherd as he avoids it easily.
Shepherd tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and GuardaChuva counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

Shepherd has hold of GuardaChuva's hands but GuardaChuva slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
Shepherd tries to get to full guard but GuardaChuva has control of the leg.

GuardaChuva thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Shepherd's head.
Shepherd tries to push off, looking to stand up, but GuardaChuva manages to move to mount!
GuardaChuva connects with a couple of good shots from mount.
Shepherd is rocked!

Shepherd is still in real trouble! Can GuardaChuva finish him?
GuardaChuva postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Shepherd looks a forlorn figure.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
GuardaChuva lands a big shot to the head and Shepherd winces in pain. He's tapped out due to strikes!
