The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Munoz lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.

Munoz takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
The fighters circle momentarily. Munoz darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.

and Pulkkinen counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.

Pulkkinen throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Munoz on the side of the head.
Pulkkinen fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Munoz throws an overhand right that lands on Pulkkinen's shoulder, as Pulkkinen tries to avoid the shot.
Pulkkinen has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Munoz misses with a hook
and Pulkkinen counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Munoz thinking.

Pulkkinen lands with a nice combination. Munoz backs away looking to recover.

Munoz throws a shot from downtown. Pulkkinen moves away and avoids it.

Munoz is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all.
Pulkkinen throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.

Pulkkinen's corner calls for a 1-2. Pulkkinen obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.

Munoz takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.

Munoz closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Pulkkinen lands a really nice looking cross but Munoz seems unphased.
Pulkkinen misses with the combination.
Pulkkinen lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Pulkkinen jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.
Pulkkinen slips under a jab from Munoz.
Pulkkinen is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Munoz had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté.
Munoz takes a shot to the body in his stride.

Pulkkinen lands a big head kick that sends Munoz tumbling to the mat! Pulkkinen takes a step backwards and waves Munoz back to his feet - he wants the finish!
