Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Burnett gets a takedown into half guard.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Loom wants to get back to his feet.
Burnett tries to stand but can't do so whilst Loom controls his leg.
Burnett trying desperately to get back to his feet here but he's not having any joy at all. He's going to tire himself out if he's not careful.
Burnett will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Loom tries to kick Burnett off but Burnett keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.

We're going to have a standup here because Ervin Burnett wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.

Burnett tries to keep at a distance but Loom has taken the fight into the clinch.

Burnett gets control of Loom's arms and successfully pulls guard. Burnett will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Burnett has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Loom can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Loom loads up on a big left hand. Burnett felt that one! He's just covering up now, not defending himself intelligently - Loom looks towards the ref and unloads with 3 more big shots and the ref has no choice but to stop the fight! Burnett can't hide his disappointment, as Loom celebrates the victory.
