The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Toppington closes the distance and clinches.

Thomas pulls guard.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Toppington missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Toppington is looking to stand up but Thomas won't let him.

Toppington wants to stand and escape but instead Thomas has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Mang Thomas.
Thomas walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Toppington throws a shot to the body.
Thomas fails miserably with a takedown attempt.

Toppington slaps away a takedown attempt from Thomas, before circling back to the center of the mat.
