Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Kira Kato (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ryo Miyaichi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kato comes to the cage accompanied by MAD WORLD by Gary Jules. Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Kira Kato!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ryo Miyaichi!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Jack Bonds and Don Winkell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Miyaichi scores with a jab to the head.
Miyaichi lands with a right hand.
Kato shoots in for a takedown but Miyaichi shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Miyaichi fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Kato manages to avoid it.
Miyaichi uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Kato.
Miyaichi scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Miyaichi takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.

Miyaichi rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Kato moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Kato looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.

Kato is looking for a sweep. Miyaichi is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

Miyaichi not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Miyaichi must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Miyaichi seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Well Miyaichi has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
