The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Turshatov looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Benedict has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Benedict loads up on a big right hand but Turshatov slips the punch.

Turshatov jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Benedict walks away with a smile on his face. Turshatov gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Benedict knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Turshatov on the ground.

Benedict scores with a big shot from side control... and another... and another! Oh Turshatov is done here - save him referee! More strikes land and eventually the ref does step in and Benedict can finally stop beating on his defenseless opponent!
