PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Razor Sharp (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Frank DeNino (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sharp comes to the cage accompanied by All I Need (Razor Sharp Remix). Frank DeNino told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
DeNino connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
A big left from DeNino misses.
Sharp throws the left hand but DeNino avoids the punch easily.
Sharp throws a jab when DeNino was well out of range.
Sharp tried to score with a low kick but DeNino checks it.
That kick from Sharp tenderised DeNino's leg. DeNino is trying to keep his angry face on.
Sharp uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from DeNino.
DeNino throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Sharp walks into a left hand.
Sharp takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
DeNino takes a swing at Sharp's ribcage but misses.

Sharp ducks under a wild hook from DeNino.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
A bone on bone clash there as DeNino blocks the leg kick.

DeNino has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Sharp.

Sharp will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.

and DeNino counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Sloppy strikes from Sharp. Those never looked like landing.
DeNino wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.

Sharp throws a front kick aimed at DeNino's knee but DeNino avoids it well.

DeNino fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Sharp on the side of the head.
Sharp dips down and scores with a jab to the body.

It looks like Razor Sharp has been cut.
Sharp tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target.
DeNino clobbers Sharp with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Sharp tries to clinch but DeNino moves out of range.
DeNino misses with a wild body shot.
DeNino moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.

Sharp drops DeNino with a right and a left! Sharp comes rushing in but DeNino regains his composure and manages to keep Sharp in guard.
DeNino is still in real trouble! Can Sharp finish him?
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Sharp thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Sharp has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can DeNino defend it? Sharp steps over the head and cranks it - DeNino is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Sharp!

Razor Sharp was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
