Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Nigel Diaz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mercurius Faunus (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Diaz throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Faunus sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Faunus misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Diaz.

Nigel Diaz seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Faunus tries to clinch up but Diaz circles away and keeps his distance.

Faunus needs to keep his hands up - Diaz had a free shot at his head there.
Diaz is really peppering his opponent's head with punches.
Faunus ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Faunus throws out a loose jab but Diaz uses good head movement to avoid it.
Nice shot lands for Diaz.

Faunus throws a looping overhand right but Diaz ducks down to avoid it.
Diaz closes the distance and lands a vicious right hand that drops Faunus! Diaz dives in looking to finish! Faunus is still trying to defend himself but he's taking too many shots and the referee has no choice but to stop the fight!

A less than humble Nigel Diaz misjudged his post fight interview somewhat and came across a little too arrogant whilst trying to hype up his own abilities.
