Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Dominic Sterrey (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Glin Burman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the prize buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Dominic Sterrey!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 13 - 14 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Glin Burman!
The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, Gregory Folan and Robert Douchet.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No joy there for Sterrey, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Sterrey looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Sterrey throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Burman throws out a loose jab but Sterrey uses good head movement to avoid it.
Sterrey misses with an uppercut. Burman saw that one coming.
Sterrey misses with a looping left.
We've been informed that Burman has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.
Sterrey blocks a head kick by Burman.
A looping hook to the body misses from Burman. Sterrey does a little dance to reset his feet.

Burman scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Sterrey doesn't seem bothered though.

Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Burman.
Sterrey takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Sterrey scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.
Sterrey misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Burman waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Sterrey.
Burman lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Burman throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Burman throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
The fighters circle momentarily. Burman darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Burman pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Nice body punch from Sterrey.
Sterrey cracks Burman with a good jab.
Burman throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Sterrey loads up on a big right hand but Burman slips the punch.
Sterrey shoots for a takedown but Burman saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Burman uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Sterrey.
Glin Burman seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Sterrey fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Burman manages to avoid it.
Glin Burman is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Sterrey shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Burman napping and manages to drive through into side control!

Sterrey has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Sterrey is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Burman knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Burman is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Sterrey is controlling him well.

Burman takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Glin Burman seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Burman throws a quick inside leg kick.
Burman takes a swing at Sterrey's ribcage but misses.
Sterrey dips to his left and cracks Burman with an uppercut!
Sterrey lands a nice hook to Burman's body. Burman takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Burman comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Burman thuds a left hand into Sterrey's body.
Burman throws a head kick but Sterrey moves out of range.
Burman pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Sterrey misses with a wild body shot.
Sterrey connects with a nice looking jab.
Burman scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Burman.

Sterrey shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Sterrey showed some decent athleticism there.
Sterrey is keen to just control but Burman is a slippery customer.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Sterrey connects with a nice short shot to Burman's temple.
Sterrey takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.

Sterrey is looking for a kimura but Burman is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Sterrey to get the leverage.
Burman tries to push off, looking to stand up, but Sterrey manages to move to mount!

Sterrey controlling from the full mount.
Sterrey lands a heavy elbow.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Sterrey has hold of Burman's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Burman manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Sterrey wants to control the pace but Burman is squirming around nicely.

Sterrey goes for an armbar but Burman turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Burman.
Sterrey lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.
Glin Burman has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Sterrey wants to control from the top but Burman keeps moving.
This has been an exciting period of action!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Sterrey, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
