The judges for this bout are Josh West, Micheangelo Fripello and Chris Saunders.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Booger throws a head kick that misses.
Booger fails with a takedown attempt.
Booger looks for a takedown but Benton sprawls well.
Booger dives in for a single leg takedown but Benton sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Kraig Benton has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Frog Booger.

Booger feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Benton drops down looking for an ankle pick but Booger pulls his leg out and moves away.

Benton shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Booger pinned against the cage. Booger gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Benton takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.

It looks like Kraig Benton has been cut.
Booger changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Benton tries to avoid it but Booger manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Benton to the ground. Benton escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Oh Benton is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Booger shoots in looking for a takedown. Benton tries to sprawl out of it but Booger keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Benton manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Booger tries to close the distance and clinch but Benton swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Booger looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Benton is fending him off so far but Booger persists. Nope, Benton circles away and we're back to standing.
Booger fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Benton to the ground. Booger is now in Benton's guard.

Benton thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Booger can do anything to dispel that myth.
Booger looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Benton has picked Booger up and slammed him! Booger can't keep hold of the triangle and Benton manages to pass to side control!
Benton tries for a kimura but Booger is defending well.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Booger is looking to regain half guard here but Benton keeps moving and retains side control.

Benton is trying to get an arm triangle but Booger is defending well.

Booger is looking to slip a leg under and get half guard but Benton is one step ahead and moves to full mount!

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Benton working from mount. He moves in close and looks like he might be going for an arm triangle... He's hopped off to the side and he's transitioned into an Anaconda choke. Booger turning a nasty shade of purple. He's refusing to tap but he's gone! He's out! The ref rips Benton off and cradles Booger's limp body as Benton celebrates with his corner.
