Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Kagami Taiga (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Smoka Thaverde (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Smoka Thaverde is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

The judges for this bout are Radbod Blank, Albert Achterberg and Patrick Alders.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Thaverde misses the jab.
Thaverde connects with a single shot there.
Taiga circles away from the clinch attempt.
Thaverde tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Taiga was well out of range. Poor timing from Thaverde.

and Taiga counters with a nice double leg into guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Thaverde is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Taiga really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Taiga not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

Taiga closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Thaverde did well to prevent Taiga getting side control.
