Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Otto Sigmunt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jorma Pentikainen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sigmunt's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Mein Teil. Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Otto Sigmunt!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Jorma Pentikainen!
The judges for this bout are Marco Blurström, Anni Minnemäki and Johanna Lukiainen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Sigmunt looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Sigmunt is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.

Sigmunt bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

Sigmunt looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Pentikainen with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

and Sigmunt counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Pentikainen's guard now.

Pentikainen can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Sigmunt controls the pace.

The referee stands the fighters back up. Otto Sigmunt just wasn't active enough from the dominant position.

The referee warns Pentikainen that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Sigmunt takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Sigmunt seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Pentikainen for as long as he can get away with.

Well Sigmunt has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
